I've struggled with drugs and alcohol throughout my life. I had attempted sobriety many times on my own following time frames in jail or court ordered classes. It lasted for bit but I always fell back into the disease of addiction. I had hit my lowest of lows and knew that I needed help. I had never been to a recovery center or even thought a recovery center was an option for me. My family began looking for treatment options and found many choices. When calling other places, my family received call after call trying to sell their treatment programs to us like a product. I spoke with Robert at VRC and he only expressed genuine concern for my wellness and let us know that they were there to help or to talk if we needed it. No pressure! I checked in with VRC not knowing what to expect, and was welcomed by an amazing staff that knew exactly what I was going through because all of the techs are in recovery themselves. The staff, case managers, therapists, and most importantly, my peers are FAMILY! I was introduced to the 12 step program and feel like the structure of the 12 steps has worked great for me. Today I am the man that my family and I always knew i could be. Thank you to EVERYONE at VRC for saving my life!
My daughter arrived at VRC after a massive overdose. She was afraid she was going to die from her addiction and a friend had told her about VRC and how it had helped him stay sober for over two years. During the year she was at VRC she worked the 12 steps of AA, got a sponsor, learned how to work at a job and manage her money (to a certain extent!). She made amends to her family. She got individual therapy, group therapy, a safe place to live. Eventually, at the end of a year she actually sponsored a new person. She has been at three or four treatment centers, several sober living houses and still used drugs. I will be forever grateful for the help and support she received at VRC. Several people I know have sent their children to VRC and VRC has helped them all. VRC is a gift from God.
I want to thank everyone at VRC for helping my son through his darkest time to being free of drugs. From detox to residential to sober living, this place is exceptional! The staff is kind and caring. I will always be grateful to everyone involved at VRC. If you are looking for a place for your son or daughter, look no further than VRC!
The level of care at Ventura Recovery Center is second to none. Everything from their facilities to staff are the absolute BEST! If you or a loved one needs help overcoming addiction, Ventura Recovery Center is definitely the place to go.
Such a beautiful center with absolutely caring staff! I could not believe their kindness and level of hands on care
All I can say is Thank You to a staff at Ventura Recovery Center, you are bringing my child back to me one day at a time. God Bless
I decided almost 2 years ago to try rehab one more time. I wanted a place where I would feel safe and at a distance from temptation but didn't want to be isolated and feel bad, evil, worthless and finally almost 2 years later a long time buddy recommended VRC and described the treatment and the professionals who guide you through the recovery process with patience and understanding. Thank you VRC for helping me live and enjoy life again.
I personally disagree with the two ppl one they make sure that the staff here are doing the right thing once they find the truth out they get rid of the bad ones! Carl and the Admissions guy have saved not only my life but my brothers numerous times and have supported our mother through this time! And they encourage you to do the program, 12 steps, sponser if your DOING the right thing you won't have to worry about any thing! All of the techs are also so caring and made me feel at home when my home is across the country in Pittsburgh pa! It's all about change, and if NOTHING CHANGES NOTHING CHANGES! IT'S progress not perfection! Remember it's always better to be on the inside instead of being on the outside wishing you were on the inside!!!
This rehab is amazing, a very comfortable detox when i first came in then a smooth transition to sober living where i was able to have the freedoms to find myself and start my life again. I was able to get a job when the time was appropriate for me and my needs. Being here has showed me that living sober can actually be enjoyable. The staff have been in our same position so they can relate and be supportive when you might be in crisis. As with any rehab if you arent ready to quit then youll find anything negative to say. This place saved my life and my brother's life. It truly is a great place to start your new life.
VRC is by far the most efficient rehab/sober living where I actually found recovery. I have done this so many times, but there is something special about this place. This place cares about the people in the program, and if you really do the simple things they ask, you to can find the happiness I have found here.
